Force10 Networks Integrates Data Connection's IPv6-enabled OSPFv3 Protocol Stack

DCL's portable OSPFv3 routing solution utilized by FTOS, Force10’s operating system that runs entire switch/router product line

Las Vegas, NV: June 16, 2008. Data Connection Limited (DCL), the world's leading independent provider of communications protocol software, announced today at NXTcomm08 (DCL Booth #SU5323) that Force10 Networks has integrated DCL's OSPFv3 protocol solution to enable IPv6 capable OSPF routing functionality on Force10's operating system (FTOS). OSPFv3 provides a larger IP address space than its OSPFv2 predecessor and includes protocol enhancements as defined by the IETF's RFC 2740.

The IPv6 addressing functionality enables Force10 to address the next generation, high performance scale requirements of applications such as research & development institutions, internet exchange points, and US and international government agencies.
