OSE Systems and Data Connection (DCL) Provide True Embedded Carrier Class Networking Protocols

San Jose, CA: November 12, 2001. OSE Systems today announced a suite of carrier class networking source-code products available from DCL. Networking products including ATM, MPLS, LMP, MGCP/Megaco, SIP, and SCTP are now integrated with the OSE™ real-time operating system (RTOS). These protocols help facilitate development for engineers building network infrastructure switches and routers.

DCL's carrier-class architecture for networking source-code supports transparent distribution of protocol components and provides redundancy and fail-over. Built for distributed systems, OSE's unique message-passing model also facilitates the seamless creation and operation of distributed systems. The combination of OSE and DCL's IP stack enables applications to operate efficiently and reliably even if they are distributed across numerous processors or DSPs. The IP stack also includes extensive source-code diagnostic capabilities using OSE file system services, and utilizes native OSE memory management features. Because the implementation of these protocols and the integration with OSE is already completed, developers can start projects one step closer to bringing their applications to market.
