Before You Begin

The SNAP-IX 3270 User's Guide describes the features and functions of the 3270 emulation program and 3179G emulation program. References to the 3270 emulation program apply to both programs except where differences for 3179G are indicated. This manual explains the following:

Using the program's menu interface
Starting and controlling display emulation and printer emulation
Using 3179G graphics display emulation
Transferring files between the Solaris computer and the 3270 host
Customizing 3270 emulation

Intended Audience

This manual is intended for anyone who uses the 3270 emulation programor 3179G emulation program.

If you are using 3270 emulation on a Windows client, refer to the documentation provided with the client software.
