A printer session does not have a session window because there is no 5250 screen associated with an AS/400 printer application. This means that you can only control its status and parameters. You can use:
The Printer menu in the session control window to restart, pause and cancel print jobs on printer sessions
The 5250 style files to specify parameters for printer sessions
The session control window is described in Session Control Window.
Style file parameters can be used to control printer sessions by specifying the following:
The name of the destination of the print output
Whether the destination is a printer or a file
Whether the host print transform function will be used
The type of file (whether it is an ASCII file or PostScript file)
Whether a destination that is a file should be appended to or overwritten
For more information about style files and how to specify these parameters, see 5250 Style Files.
