These are the values that the emulation program will use unless specified otherwise. You can change these default settings by using a style file, as described in 5250 Style Files.

A.1 Keyboard Mappings Listed By Function

This section describes the default keyboard mappings used by the 5250 emulation program.

A.1.1 Program Function Keys

Program Function Keys lists the program function keys. The function of each of these keys is determined by the particular host application; different applications will use them for different purposes, and may not use all of them.

The 5250 emulation program provides a way of specifying function keys directly. Press Ctrl + F to specify function key (F?? will then be displayed on the OIA) followed by the number of the function key that you wish to specify. For example, F16 is specified by pressing Ctrl + F + 16.

CANCEL_LOCAL_PRINT Esc + C Cancels the current local print job.
EXIT Ctrl + X Exits the current session.
FUNCTION_HOTKEY Ctrl + F Use this key to enter function keys. Press CTRL + F followed by the number of the function key that you wish to enter.
HEX Ctrl + H Use this key to enter hex values. Press CTRL + H followed by the Hex value that you wish to enter.
LOCAL_PRINT Esc + P Prints the current session window (this is called local copy printing).
MACRO_WAIT_INPUT Esc Ctrl + W Specifies that the macro that you are recording will pause and wait for user input before continuing.
PAUSE_MACRO Esc Ctrl + P Pauses the macro that you are recording so that you can enter keystrokes that are not recorded as part of the macro before continuing to record the macro again.
RAISE_SCW Esc Esc up Takes you to the session control window.
RECORD_MACRO Esc Ctrl + R Starts recording a macro.
REDRAW Esc Esc R Redraws the screen area of the session window. This will normally be updated automatically.
REPLAY_MACRO Esc Ctrl + M Replays the specified macro.
SOSITOG Esc S Allows you to control whether SO and SI characters are displayed on the screen. (This is a toggle key).
STOP_MACRO Esc Ctrl + S Stops macro record or replay.
