2.3 Configuring SNAP-IX

Before you can start the file transfer program, you must ensure that the SNAP-IX resources described in this section have been configured. See your System Administrator if necessary.

Local LU Alias

The local LU alias of the local LU that the file transfer program will use. If the file transfer program uses a blank local LU alias then SNAP-IX will use the default local LU (the CP LU).

Partner LU Name

The partner LU that the file transfer program will use to communicate with the AS/400. The file transfer program can either use the fully qualified partner LU name or the partner LU alias (if the fully qualified partner LU name has already been configured for this alias).

The communications link to the AS/400.
