This book introduces SNAP-IX, a software product that enables a server running Solaris to exchange information with other nodes in a Systems Network Architecture (SNA) network.
SNAP-IX provides building blocks for a wide variety of networking needs and solutions. They can be used to exchange information with nodes in SNA networks, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networks, and integrated SNA-TCP/IP networks.
This book applies to Version 7 of SNAP-IX.
Before reading this manual, you should have a knowledge of SNA and APPN concepts. For a list of books that provide this information, see Related Publications.
