The console program provides access to the host's job entry subsystem console, which you can use to do the following:
View messages produced by the host while processing jobs
Issue host commands
View the host's responses to console commands
You can either view this information as it becomes available or browse through previous commands and messages. The commands you can issue are determined by the operator privilege for your workstation, as specified in the host configuration.
Sample command: snarjecon wks1
The console program can be run at any time, provided the SNAP-IX software is started. However, if the RJE workstation is not running, or if it is running but not connected to the host, you can use the console program only for viewing previous information; you will not be able to issue host commands.
For more information about how to use the console program, see RJE Console Program.
