The RJE workstation style file contains information about how an RJE workstation communicates with the host and the output devices available to it. This chapter includes the following information about style files:
Overview of the workstation style file
RJE style file customization program
Style file format
Defining workstation options
Defining Forms Control Buffers (FCBs)
Defining printers and punches
The workstation style file contains information about how the workstation interacts with the host job entry subsystem, how it interacts with the local Solaris computer to process input and output data, and the printer and punch devices available for processing output data. It can be maintained by the System Administrator or by the users of the workstation.
The RJE workstation style file is an ASCII text file, with information stored in readable text format. SNAP-IX provides a menu-driven customization program that enables you to set most of the parameters in the style file, and it is recommended that you use this program if you need to modify the file. However, because the file is a text file, you can also check or modify the workstation definition using a standard text editor; you will need to do this in order to set some of the less common style file parameters.
The style file is named WKST.sty , where WKST is the name of the workstation, and is stored in the directory /etc/opt/sna.
A sample style file, wksta.sty, is delivered in the directory /opt/sna/samples. You can use this file for reference, or copy it to the appropriate directory (renaming it to match the name of the workstation) to use as the basis for your own workstation style file.
