The Motif 3270 or 3179G emulation program can be used with the Motif display on a separate computer from the program (for example, using X server software on a PC). In order to do this, you must install some additional Motif fonts on the computer used for the display. If you are using the display on the same computer as the emulation program, no additional installation is required.
The source files for these fonts are stored in the directory /opt/tn3270/X11fonts. The procedures for building and installing the Motif fonts on the display computer depend on the operating system and terminal type of the display computer. Refer to your Motif documentation for information about these procedures.
